GREAT BRITAIN: Middlesex: Christs Hospital c.late 1700's/early 1800's Marker's Prize Ar Medal (35mm, 14.18g) by L. Pingo (1743-1830); MI i 61/6. Struck to commemorate the founding of Christ's Hospital in London in 1553. Two boys in each ward of the school were appointed to examine the others in their religious exercises between services on Sundays. These boys were given this medal when they left the school.
