Quietus (260 - 261CE)

Quietus (260 - 261CE). Titus Flavius Iunius Quietus was a usurper against Gallienus. He was in control of the Eastern Provinces together with Balista, Praetorian Prefect under Valerian, while his father and brother marched their army against Gallienus. Quietus lost control of the provinces to Odaenathus of Palmyra shortly after the defeat and death of his father and brother in Thrace. He fled to Emesa and was murdered there, possibly instigated by Balista.
