Valentinian I (364 - 375CE)

Valentinian I (26 February 364 - 17 November 375CE). Flavius Valentinianus Augustus, also referred to as Valentinian the Great, was the last emperor to conduct campaigns across both the Rhine and Danube Rivers. He was the last "great western emperor" and founded the Valentinian Dynasty. He died of an apoplectic fit when a delegation of Quadi envoys enraged him into it by their attitudes.
